The Department of Chemistry at Gramgeeta Mahavidyalaya in Chimur is one of the key departments within the Faculty of Science. The undergraduate chemistry program was launched in 2008, and building on the experience gained from successfully running that course, a master’s program was introduced in 2023. The Department of Chemistry aims to provide students with a thorough understanding of the fundamental principles of chemistry and their applications in industry, medicine, agriculture, environmental protection and modern technologies. Through coursework, laboratory experiments, research activities and a scientific approach the Chemistry Department fosters the development of students’ analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and practical skills

- Four days Educational Tour/Industrial visit to Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad during 24/02/2019 to 27/02/2019 for B.Sc. students
- One-day tour was organised by the Dept. of Chemistry in coordination with Dept. of Physics of Gramgeeta Mahavidyalaya, Chimur on dated 16.01.2020 to The Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur and Raman Science Centre, Nagpur
