Day 1: July 6, 2026 (Inauguration & Institutional Orientation)
The first day focused on welcoming the students and introducing them to the college environment and core academic structures.
- Inauguration & Principal’s Address: The workshop commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp. The Principal delivered the welcome address, emphasizing the vision and mission of Gramgeeta Mahavidyalaya. Students were encouraged to maintain discipline, embrace holistic learning, and make optimal use of the college’s resources.
- Session 1: Introduction of Staff Members: To build a rapport between the students and the institution, all teaching and non-teaching staff members were introduced. Students were briefed on various departments and academic coordinators.
- Session 2: National Service Scheme (NSS) & Environmental Science: Bijankumar Shil conducted a highly motivating session. He highlighted the importance of social responsibility through the NSS unit and briefed students on the mandatory Common Environmental Science subject, emphasizing ecological conservation.
- Session 3: Career Katta and Student Facilities: Mrunal Warhade guided the students on ‘Career Katta’ an initiative by the Department of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra. She also detailed the various student support facilities, scholarships, and grievance cells available on campus.
Day 2: (Institutional Systems & Co-curricular Engagement)The second day aimed at integrating students into the governance, athletic, and extracurricular frameworks of the college. The day was hosted by Mr. Rohit Chandekar, Organizing Committee member.
- Session 1: College Committees: Nilesh Thaokar illuminated the roles of various statutory and non-statutory college committees (such as Anti-Ragging, Internal Complaints, and Cultural Committees). He explained how these bodies work continuously to ensure student safety and progress.
- Session 2: Sports and Physical Education: Sandip Satao emphasized the vital role of physical fitness and sports in personality development. He informed students about the indoor and outdoor sports facilities available at the college and the avenues for participating in university-level tournaments.
- Session 3: Earn & Learn Scheme & Student Activities: Sumesh Waware introduced the “Earn and Learn” scheme, designed to provide financial assistance to needy and meritorious students through part-time institutional work. He also outlined various student-led activities that foster leadership and teamwork.
Day 3: (Academic Reforms & Valedictory)
The final day of workshop conducted by Dr. Prnali Tembhurne, Member of organizing Committee which were focused entirely on the transition to modern educational frameworks and the formal closing of the workshop.
- Combined Session on National Education Policy (NEP): Nagesh Dhore and Dr. H. D. Anande jointly conducted an extensive session on the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP). They explained the revised curriculum structure, the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), multidisciplinary choices, Academic Bank of Credits (ABC), and the flexibility offered to students under this new framework.
- Presidential Speech & Valedictory: The workshop concluded with a prestigious Presidential Speech delivered by the management/chairperson. The President congratulated the organizing team and urged the students to become responsible citizens who contribute to society.
- A formal vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Varada V. Khati, Convener of the programme, marking the successful completion of Diksharambh 2026.
