As a part of the celebration, the department organized two competitions for undergraduate students:
- Poster Competition on the theme “Need of Chemistry in Daily Life”
- Speech Competition on the topic “Scope of Chemistry”
A large number of undergraduate students participated enthusiastically in both competitions. The participants demonstrated creativity, scientific awareness, and effective communication skills. The poster competition highlighted the essential role of chemistry in various aspects of life such as health, agriculture, food processing, environment, industry, and household applications. The speech competition reflected students’ understanding of the expanding scope of chemistry in modern fields such as pharmaceuticals, nanotechnology, biotechnology, environmental science, forensic science, and research-based careers.
The competitions were judged by Dr. H. D. Anande, Prof. Vivek Manik and Dr. Rohit Chandekar, who appreciated the enthusiasm and scientific approach of the participants and encouraged them to continue developing their analytical and presentation skills.
The winners of the competitions were felicitated with prizes and certificates.

Speech Competition
- First Prize: Lavanya V. Dhote
The winners were felicitated with certificates and prizes in recognition of their outstanding performance. All other participants were also awarded participation certificates to encourage their involvement and enthusiasm.
The programme was conducted under the able guidance of the Principal, Dr. Sunanda S. Aswale. who appreciated the efforts of the students and emphasized the importance of scientific thinking in daily life. The entire programme was efficiently organized by Dr. H. D. Anande, Dr. Varada V. Khati and Miss P. J. Khobragade, who coordinated all academic and logistical arrangements. Valuable technical support for the smooth conduct of the event was provided by the laboratory attendant, Mr. Giridhar Dekate.
